Cabled Mitts

Fingerless gloves are all the rage, it seems. My daughters can't seem to get enough pairs, and are always asking for more. I wanted to challenge myself a little bit, so this is a design I worked up after their latest request.

Hi Amy! I LOVE these, and can't wait to try a pair! I made my first pair of fingerless gloves just this year, not thinking I'd really like them... But I have LOVED them ever since, and like you mentioned, I ALSO have several pairs! Thanks for sharing this pattern, and have a great weekend!

My pleasure! I'm actually itching to make more, ;). I promised myself that I would finish the Blanket of Rassilon first, though, lol.

Amy, I love these! I am going to have to make some up for my girls, then if they work up really east, maybe we can talk business. I think they would be cute on my etsy shop.

Hello, new to this site, but I love new crochet patterns and this is too cute! Would you consider working these into mittens? and sharing possibly?

Thanks,
Carrie

I just finished this pattern! It was wonderful! They turned out great! I just wanted to add though that on row 18 on the left hand. You're going to want to switch the steps. DC 4 then decrease next 2 sts together, dc 3. then after doing the cable part just finish with 9 dc. Thanks for the wonderful pattern!

I absolutely LOVE these cable mitts, and I have made 2 pairs of them so far. I am not exactly an expert crocheter, but from row 15 down on the left hand, I believe there are errors in the pattern. For instance in row 15, after doing the twisted pattern it says to dc 9, where I think it should be 10. And then it's the same thing with row 16 and 17. Then in row 18 before the cabled twist it says to ch2, dc 9, and then do the cabled twist. When doing this there are 2 extra dc's before the twist. And then the after the twist instructions don't make sense with the decreases. I improvised this on both pairs. Because of my improvising, row 19 was off for me too, but I think I made it work. :) However, I do still LOVE these. Thank you SO MUCH for sharing the pattern.

I think that on the left hand from Row 14 to Row 15 it changes from 10 DCs to 9 DCs without an actual decrease.

This is my second pair to make and my girls love them! This time I used two strands together of Baby Bee 'Sweet Delight Pomp' and G hook.

I have made so many of these! Thank you so much! I'm hooked! ;-) I just made a pair tonight for a friend, and she asked that they be shorter, and it was so easy to modify, and she loves them! I have made them in white and also in grey. I think I might make a tan pair next.

Just made a pair of these and was cable-ing for the first time. Instructions were really clear and I've gotten several comments on how cute they are!

I also truncated the patter to make wristlets. Love your pattern!

Would you mind going back over your pattern and correcting it. I would love to make more of these but I am not as good at improvising as the others on here. Thanks!

Yea I found that the pattern for the left hand goes a bit wonky but I just converted it over in my own notes. Love it though! I made a pair minus he cable for my uncle in a camouflage pattern. He wanted them to wear hunting so they are going to get their first use this weekend! Made 2 other pairs, and goin to make a 2 color pair for my friend for Christmas!

I'm working on errata for this pattern...if any of you have notes on the errors, please lmk (going to read through the comments again!) sorry for any inconvenience...and for the delay, this mama has rather full hands, lol. Thanks all! ~Amy
